Yesterday, I went to Dayton in the morning to do fixture counts in a few buildings. As soon as I got home around 2 pm, Scott left to go to Columbus to meet with some electricians interested in helping him with his company.
After Scott was gone a few hours, I called to see if he would be back in time for my 6:00 hot yoga class. I had a cold and was hoping the heat would help me sweat it out. He informed me that he made plans to meet up with his brother, Matt who lives on campus at OSU. I expressed my disappointment that he would be gone late again, and I'd be left to put the kids to bed by myself. Also, I'd need to take all the kids with me to pick Karenna up from gymnastics at 9 pm. I remembered that we also didn't do our communication exercise (dialogue)for the day and so I asked him to be home by midnight. He said okay, but I really thought he would be later. I figured I would feel lonely again, get tired of waiting, and go to bed. I was irritated because he just went out Sunday night. Still, I know he doesn't spend much time with his brother and it would mean a lot to Matt, so I didn't make a big deal of it.
I found a babysitter for my yoga class, but the heat was broken. I still think it helped a little. I started feeling worse as it got later. It was daunting to get all the kids in the car to get Karenna. Thankfully, they weren't too uncooperative and Adi and Jaden both fell asleep in the car. When I was on my way home, Scott called me to say he was headed back. I was really surprised. It was evidence that he is trying to change and be considerate. He also told me his friends tried to get him to go out, but he said he was hanging out with me.
We did our dialogue and then cuddled on the couch and watched a movie. I ended up falling asleep on him though. The cold had me wiped out. So far, so good.
Today was good too. It was a busy Tuesday for me: gymnastics for Jaden, schoolwork with the girls, chores, then Jolie's gymnastics. Scott asked me for some time to have sex. Normally, I would have told him I don't have time. Instead, I got the kids started on chores and went downstairs. I set our bedroom up with candles and put on lingerie and music. We had some intimate fun for a half hour, then I went back upstairs to yell at the kids for not working on their chores (LOL). I didn't get my own chores done, but I realize making time for him is more important.
Now I'm at Jolie's gymnastics at the Y. When I get home, we'll do our dialogue and go out together for a little while to Fox and Hound. Day two and we haven't fucked it up yet. I got a little nervous when I got a text from an ex-boyfriend. He wanted to hang out. I asked Scott if he cares if I text him back. He said it was fine. I told him we'll be at Fox and Hound tonight if he wants to come. Also, I asked Scott if we should sign Jaden up for another session of gymnastics instead of just doing it. He wants him to take a break, so I didn't sign him up even though I want to. I feel relieved that things have been going well so far.
